Stanley M. Blau
As a seasoned executive, Mr. Blau has a long history of building and structuring companies for maximum growth and value. Mr. Blau has held numerous positions with public companies, leading each company to accelerated growth and a potential capital event. He is currently a Principal at PS Capital LLC.
Prior to PS Capital, Mr Blau founded Consolidated Communications Inc. (CCI), a privately held company that created the secondary telecommunications equipment market and spawned over 3,000 companies. He then was the co-founder and CEO of Vodavi Technology Corporation, where he led the acquisition of Executone Information Systems, then merged the new company with Isoetec to form a $300 million company with over 300,000 customers.
Mr. Blau was founder and Chairman of the Board of the Multi Media Telecommunications Association (MMTA), which represented the interests of telecommunications manufacturer and distributors through North America. MMTA merged with the Telephone Industry Association (TIA), where he served on the Board of Directors. He also served as Chairman of the Board of the America-Israel Chamber of Commerce for 15 years, stimulating trade and investment between Israel and the United States. With the coming of the Internet Mr. Blau became an investor and Board Member of Lightstone, a company involved with the Supply Chain Industry. He helped steer this start-up to its being acquired by Descarte Systems Inc. at a significant multiple of his investment.
Shortly thereafter PS Capital was formed. He served on the Board of Novatel Wireless and helped bring it to its NASDAQ listing. He currently serves on the Board of Popular Telephony. Popular developed Peerio Technology (Peer to Peer) an enabling technology eliminating servers in the VOIP arena.
A lecturer in Entrepreneurial Studies at the Cornell Graduate School of Business (Ithaca, New York), Mr. Blau was a Member of the East Asian Advisory Council of the School for Far Eastern Studies, and the Advisory Council of the Entrepreneurship and Personal Enterprise Program, both at Cornell University.
Mr. Blau received his BA in economics from Cornell University, and his MBA in Marketing from New York University. |
